The Stamford Police Association will be hosting the Timothy Coppola bike helmet giveaway this year. This event was started by retired officer Glenn Coppola after his son Timothy suffered a brain injury while riding his bicycle. His son Timothy succumbed to his injuries and died approximately two years after the accident at the age of 10. After the death of his son, Glenn and the SPA have been given away bike helmets to city children.

The event will be held on June 4, 2022, at the Fairway Market parking lot (699 Canal Street) from 9:00 a.m. - to 1:00 p.m.
